1. RUNNING (walking or car ) to The California Lighthouse, known by locals as Faro stands near Arashi Beach and Sasariwichi dunes on the northwestern tip of Aruba. It holds the distinction of being the tallest structure in Aruba. This lighthouse derives its name from a British steamship, S.S. California, which sank in 1891, The lighthouse was specifically erected to prevent similar tragedies. In May 2016, the lighthouse underwent a restoration, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of its completion. enjoy one of the best views of Aruba, unmissable!!!
2. POWER WALK in Eagle beach or Palm beach
Eagle beach (2 best beach in the Caribbean) famous for its pristine and soft white sands, offers beautiful Caribbean ocean views, ample parking, shaded areas, beach huts, variety of water sports. Eagle Beach is home to two of the most photographed and renowned fofoti trees in Aruba, with its trademark silhouette pointing in the direction of the Caribbean. Several of the Aruba low rise hotels are nearby or just across the road. Four species of sea turtles nest in Aruba; most turtle nests are found on Eagle Beach.
Palm Beach is filled with palm trees, hotels, casinos, water sports concessions, piers, beach bars, restaurants and shops. The calm waters make this a great place to swim and snorkel. A walk along the coast at sunrise or sunset is perfect for exercise and reflection during your Caribbean vacation. To close a day of leisure or activities at sea in Aruba, you can admire the tangerine sunset or enjoy a barefoot dinner on the beach by candlelight.
3. HIKING : The three highest points in Aruba are Sero Jamanota (no. 1), Sero Arikok (no. 2) and Hooiberg (no. 3). If you plan on visiting the park to experience a hike for yourself, here are some “dos & don’ts” for you to consider: bring plenty of water, sunblock, comfortable sturdy shoes, snacks, sunglasses, a hat, and more water! The sun in Aruba is no joke especially out ‘in the wild’, so you want to be as protected as possible. Also, very important, don’t touch or eat any plants or fruit that you are not familiar with, as it could be poisonous. Lastly, always be aware of thorns, prickly plants, and cacti – they are everywhere… so watch your step! For more information for tour hiking guided @arubaconservationfoundation.
